In order to ensure that SOLIDLOCK’s unique wedge locking functions work properly, the hardness of the SOLIDLOCK washers must exceed the hardness of the surface it comes into contact with.
SOLIDLOCK unique wedge locking method can be easily corroborated. First, tighten bolt/nut under correct instruction of tighten torque, then loose it. During disassembly, you will notice a click sound and torque increase over the pre-load torque, if measured by torque wrench.
Marks can easily identified with naked eyes on the contact surfaces with bolt/nut and base materials.
Once these conditions are met, SOLIDLOCK will securely locked bolt/nut withstand severe vibration and heavy loads.
